New Kadai Restaurant

Yesterday, I happened to go to Lingarajapuram for some work with a friend of mine. We were busy throughout the day and our work was done only at 9 pm. We wre very hungry as we depended on egg puffs throout the day. My friend suggested that there were some good restaurants in Kammanahalli main road, where we can have our dinner. After looking for a while, we decided to have dinner n a restaurant named "New Kadai". We were delighted to see tandoori chickens displayed on the outside. We went in and ordered rice and mutton kadai..The waiter seemed to be from our place. It has become some sort of culture in Bangalore to have "North-East" waiters just to gain some brand value. The rice and mutton curry came, and we were ready to slog, just then i saw that there was a piece of hair in the curry..My friend joked that the hair must be "shampooed" so I shouldnt worry. After having the first bite, i realized where I had come. The rice was pretty much uncooked rather than cooked. And we had to fight with the mutton pieces with our teeth to chew them. Horrible food, it made me remember Kohinoor Of Brigade road..So this is probably the Kohinooor of Kammanahalli!!

Farewell 800

800 doesnt need any introduction...it is also popularly known as the Maruti car..Sadly the dream run of this mini has come to an end. From December 1983 to 2010, its has seen many changes, like facelifts, better interiors, it changed the face of the indian automobile industry where Indians changed their favorite car from ambassador to the 800. The 800 still sported the same 796 cc engine. The initial pricing of the car was less than 50k. It is one of the most dependable cars in India. Sadly it is no more. Still i do hope that it makes a return just like the Volkswagen beetle or the Mini cooper..

TRAVELLIN TO BRAND NEW BIAL

it ws 24th may,the next day after BIAL ws opened...i ws supposed to pick up my dad from the airport,id dint know much about the new airport,just knew tat it ws at a place named named devanahalli.i had seen it hoardings the last time i had went to nandi hills,so knew a bit about the route.firstly i had to enquire how to b thre.my dad's flight ws supposed to land at 6.10 pm.so i left home at around 3.30 to koramangala as i learnt from someone tat BMTC had launched bus services from thre.i waitwd n waited n finally got in a bus at around 4.30, the fare 80 bucks(the conductor didnt return me the 20 change of the 100 i had given him).both the driver n conductor wre confused about the route,they took a wrong turn in mekhri circle which cost us half an hour more,some of my fellow passengers were panickin about the delay as they could miss their flight..wen i tried to help the conductor about the route,it turned sour,the conductor didnt knew hindi or english.i finally i reached the airport at 6.20.i went to the arrival place n tried to go thro the arrivals monitor,bt it didnt help,there ws nothing written in the column arrived/delayed.i kept waiting n receivin innumberable calls from mom back at home in assam.at around 7 i went to the spicejet counter to enquire,they told tat the flight has landed...bt there ws no signs of dad for next one hour.in the mean time i had to pass the time by havin overpriced sandwichs at an airport eatery.i kept tryin dad's number but in vain.finaly dad arrived at around 8.20.the flight had landed at around 7.one hour and 20 mins??wow..i ws not able to get dad's number thanks to no signal for BSNL users.thankfully i had airtel.then we took a volvo back to my place.
